Image: KITE LADY DANCING. 2014. Watercolour and Gouache on handmade paper. Private Collection Devon.
This little painting deserves a poem and so I’ve written one today. As they say in Strictly, ‘KEEP DANCING’.
DANCING.
The kite lady dances on the stage, without a care she turns and spins, lost in the music that the piper plays, light as a feather, dancing forever, knowing who dares wins.
Her dancing shoes are made of silk, her dress is strewn with patterns fair, light as a feather, dancing forever, in the spotlights glare.
Like a kite she dances, in the sky above, light as a feather, dancing forever, flying like a dove.
She will keep on dancing, come what’ere will be, light as a feather, dancing forever, just to set us free.
