RONDEZ-VOUS in AMBOISE. 2014

This piece from 2014 reminds me of my friends in France, struggling , just as we are, with this pandemic. I am sure you have friends abroad and are keeping in touch to ensure that they are well and safe. One thing that this situation has brought clearly into focus is that we are all citizens of this one precious planet, and that however large our differences seem, our similarities are greater still. Co-operation relies on empathy, and in such times as these we need to put aside those differences that have divided us in the past. Isolation makes this ‘rondez-vous’ harder but ever more important. When all this is over perhaps some hard won lessons will be learnt.
