A faded photograph from the 50s and a more recent poem about turning into dad.
THE MAN IN GREY.
I’m becoming the man that my father was,
becoming the man in grey,
and all the colours I wore in my youth
are slowly fading away.
I’m becoming the man that my father was,
I once said I never could be,
but slowly and surely this metamorphosis
is happening to me.
And all my dreams of changing things
have somehow lost their way,
and all you see when you look at me
is another man in grey.
