Hi all, I have three small paintings, accompanied by poems related to the work, at Galleria St Ives, in Tregenna Hill. St Ives. http://galleriastives.com/about/ The works are part of the St Ives Literacy Festival staring on the 9th May for a week. Lots of readings, poetry and art to see. http://www.literaryfestivals.co.uk/stives.html. This is one of the works I have on display at the gallery It is called ‘A universe of emerging things’.
This is the poem that goes with it.
A universe of emerging things.
One night I dreamed I saw a universe of emerging things,
Flying on the wings of hope as they are apt to do.
Next day I sensed a change, a metamorphosis of sound,
Hitching rides on moonbeams, as they are apt to do.
Deep blue soldiers marching home, laden down with tales untold,
Of battles before peace, as they are apt to do.
And then came more, as light failed fast,
Luminous creatures with no names,
Swimming under troubled waves, as they are apt to do.
Tomorrow I will wake to see, a universe of emerging things,
Too distinct to fail to be, except for those who will not see,
As they are apt to do.
