SOME WANT LESS.

In this world we strive, I guess,
and some want more and some want less,
and some want what they think they’ve earned
and some want more than just returns,
and some want all they think is theirs
and some want more than they can hope,
and some want nothing but a joke,
and some want Jesus to return,
and some want drink,and some want dope,
and some want simply just to cope,

And some want fame,and some are shy,
and some want days to pass them by,
and some want less and some want more,
I wonder what they want it for?

I wonder if the pain we bear
is ever worth the road we tread,
the heavy steps which take us there
will haunt us in their wilfulness
and take away the very steps
that only led us to digress,
to strive to put behind us
the label that defined us,
before we came to realise
that some want more and some want less.
