WHERE YOU ARE NOW.

Where you are now
you may well ask,
how did you lose
those people that you loved?
appreciated far too late?
just casualties of some dark fate?
with memories of bad and good,
like castles with sentries
made of steel and stone and wood.

Mistakes, regrets and all those things
are in the past these days,
but night owls hoot on crenulations
saying that you should
put to bed those days gone by
and things that you did wrong,
for who would think
the things you did so right
would last so long?

Though slowly you have come to terms,
the place you are just now,
It’s good to know the ones you loved
will love you anyhow.
